How do we get over fear?

It's an interesting topic which I don't know anywhere near enough about but how do we get over fear? In response to my previous post I mentioned how we should be spreading the word of God with the everyone but how do we face people and accept rejection as it seems that it will most likely end that way.

Ok we can say that we should pray into it and yes that may work, we can read about it in the bible and that may work but unless we are 100% completely on fire for God can we overcome this fear?
I can imagine that depending on where we our in relationship with God depends on the impact it will have on others.

I could ramble on, one other thing, if anyone else reads this do they ever doubt that heaven actually exists? maybe there is a God, but how do we know that the life we live currently isnt just going to end when we die, I know we have to have faith and trust in God, but I cant help but feel sometimes like we are believing in something that we are attempting to make real, its only at my low point when i think this but its still a thought...

Are we missing the point?

How often I think about my life and wonder how many people I have had a life changing conversation with. I'm still thinking to this day hoping that maybe one person out there I have been able to bring them to know Jesus.

I wonder just how many people I work with actually know anything about Jesus and if so if anyone is actually a follower of Jesus. It's fine to have friends at work, and it's fine to have friends who haven't given their lives to Jesus, but how as Christians are we meant to be followers of Christ just by giving a smile and offering a friendship unless we actually communicate our beliefs and bring people to know Jesus.

Are we missing the point?

I'm sure as Christians we hope to spend eternity with the people we're friends with but never stopped to think of who will make it to heaven.

I just remembered a picture that someone was given one time, more like a story which illustrates what Im trying to get across.

You're driving along with one of your closest friends in the passenger seat next to you when the car skids out of control and crashes into a wall killing both your friend and yourself. The next thing you know you're queuing at heavens gates waiting to get in. You finally arrive at the Large golden gates saying to you're friend this is it, were going to heaven.

You walk through after having your whole life file checked to see how you have lived your life and it proves to be satisfactory, your friend walks up and you beckon him/her in, but they are stopped by an invisible forcefield and they cannot hear you calling out to them.

What you had failed to realise is that they didn't know who Jesus was and now because of this they will not enter into heaven but perish in hell. They turn and fall into the darkness where you will never see them again.

Now I'm not sure what kind of friends we want to have in this life but I would feel shattered if I had that picture stuck in my head, and I'm sure in other ways people can relate to similar things in this life. But if we think, how can we save the ones we love.

God's intention for our lives wasn't purely to live reading the bible, worshipping him and in prayer. I think if this is how we live we are purely selfish and I can't see any reason why we should earn a place in heaven.

We have been placed in this life to help others understand more about Jesus and the great wonders of God. We should be taking every opportunity to spread the word of God even if it's just with those who are friends. I would say that even still it would be incredibly selfish only sharing the word of God with friends. As cringey as it may sound we should be walking round with T-shirts and banners inviting people for prayer and asking them to give their lives to Jesus. Been there got the T-shirt? Well how long ago was that? Last week? Last month? Last year or maybe later? Just try and think how many people you see on a regular basis who don't have any idea of what Jesus is all about. They need Jesus just as much as those you don't know so much of.

Ok yes it is good to share with the people that you may never see again and only have one opportunity to get them but too often we can overlook the people living next door, the people who we share great and deep relationships with not realising that tomorrow they may enter into the depths of hell unless we can share the good news with them and encourage them to transform their lives for the better.

I may be wrong in some of the things I have mentioned but just a passion I wanted to note down.
